Scope
This privacy policy covers visitors to our website (“Site”) at www.droneinch.com and users of our mobile app/ web-based applications (the “Services”), including customers’ authorized users. Specifically, the DroneInch Automation Software Platform is covered and any applications within that such as:

- DroneInch mobile application (aka DIMobile)
- DroneInch web application (aka DICloud)
What We Collect
We currently do not collect data from visitors to the Site. In the future, we may add the ability to sign up for additional information about the Services. If so, we will receive the information you input and will use it to communicate with you about the Services.
We collect the following data from users of the Services:

- Email Address – We use email to communicate with our users about the Services.
- Phone number – We use a 2-factor mechanism to implement authorization during user registration. The application sends a confirmation code at account registration for the user to confirm that they had indeed registered for the Services.
- Password – This is used to authenticate users when they seek to log in to the Services.
- Payment information.
- Legally required data: Users’ historical flight data is stored in our database for customers’ use and retrieval only.
- If and when Unmanned Traffic Management (meaning systems created to manage drone traffic so they do not cause collisions or accidents) becomes legally mandatory in the USA, or similar laws are enacted in other countries, we may be required to provide crash data, digital black box data to indicate last known location before crash, and flight path data to regulatory authorities and/or insurance companies (if applicable).
Site Visitors
If you sign up for more information, the information you provide in the form will be sent to us. We use that information to respond to you and provide ongoing information about our services. In the future, we plant to implement technology to track statistics in aggregate across our site, in order to provide better quality of service, and we may sometimes share that data in aggregate. We will update the privacy policy once we have implemented the analytics system and also communicate the policy updates to our customers. We make use of third-party software to do so but we do not provide such third-party software providers with any of your personal information.
We also use cookies (a small text file placed on your computer to identify your computer and browser) and Web beacons (a file placed on a website that monitors usage) to improve the experience of our site. You can reset your Web browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent.
Log Files. As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, our servers automatically collect information when you access or use the website or platform and record such information in log files. This log data may include the Internet Protocol (IP) address, the address of the web page visited before using the website, browser type and settings, the date and time the website was accessed, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences and cookie data.
Services
We collect personal information, such as your name, username, title, address, telephone number, and email address, when you sign up to use the Services. As part of using the Services, you will be uploading various information about your business and the contact individuals within your organization. We use such information for our business purposes only, such as to provide you with access to our platform and to otherwise communicate with you about DroneInch.
Other than basic information, including contact person’s name, no personal information of yours is shared outside of the application unless you explicitly authorize it. You are able to opt-out of sharing even your basic information from within the application if you choose.
Who We Share With
In the future, we will use third-party services to store and manage our relationships with customers and potential customers. We will update our privacy policy and also notify customers when we implement such a third-party service.
We contract with third-party service providers to host our servers and databases and to provide other services to us. Currently, we use Amazon’s AWS, whose terms of service and privacy policy can be found here: https://aws.amazon.com/service-terms/. Our policy is to require our service providers to agree not to access or use any information or data they may have access to while providing services to DroneInch other than as specified by us.
Stripe – In order to process your payment, DroneInch uses a payment processor. In order to do that, DroneInch will allow you to connect with the payment processor, and the payment processor will receive, the payment information that you provide. DroneInch currently uses Stripe to process payments. Stripe’s privacy policy is here: https://stripe.com/privacy. As part of the integration we share the email id to stripe service for sending email notification for invoice, refunds, or disputes to customers. We do not store any credit card or such details.
Apple – DIFlyDrone is an iPhone app downloaded through the Apple App Store. Please review Apple’s privacy policy to understand what data Apple collects – https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww/.
Drone Manufacturers – please note that DroneInch does not manufacture drones. You should check the privacy policy of the manufacturer of your drone to understand what data it collections. For example, DJI’s privacy policy is here: https://www.dji.com/policy.
AirMap – AirMap is an app that allows you to access weather data and FAA flight restrictions and obtain FAA flight authorization from a third party like AirMap. In order to obtain this information and provide these features, we will have to share your proposed flightpath with the third party, like Airmap. Airmap shares flight path details with FAA through the LAANAC system to obtain flight authorization in controlled airspace. OpenDroneMap – OpenDroneMap is used to provide additional analysis on image/video data. Images and Data captured by DroneInch missions is send to this application for image stitching, orthomosaics, point clouds, elevation models, 3D models, plant health indices, contours and other such analysis. Third Party Tracking: We do not permit third party advertising networks to collect information about your use of our website and Service over time and across websites for the purpose of serving targeted advertising and we will never use Student Data for targeted advertising.
Do Not Track
DroneInch does not respond to Do-Not-Track signals.
Your California Privacy Rights
California has recently passed legislation known as the California Consumer Privacy Act regarding privacy rights. That law is still evolving and the terms of this section will be updated to reflect changes in the law. Currently, if you are a California resident, you can request information regarding the disclosure of your personal information by DroneInch to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes or as provided under any other applicable regulation. If the California Consumer Privacy Act is applicable to you, you have the right to:

- know the categories of personal information collected about you, and obtain a copy of your personal information
- know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed, and to whom;
- opt out of the sale of your personal information;
- access and then delete your personal information; and
- equal service and price (non-discrimination) if you exercise your privacy rights. “Personal Information” is defined to include information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with a particular consumer or household. This includes (among other types of personal information) IP addresses, geolocation data, biometric information, and “unique identifiers” such as device and cookie IDs, Internet activity information like browsing history, commercial information such as products or services purchased or consuming histories or tendencies, and characteristics concerning an individual’s race, color, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions), age (40 or older), religion, genetic information, sexual orientation, political affiliation, national origin, disability or citizenship status. Inferences drawn from personal information “to create a profile about a consumer reflecting the consumer’s preferences, characteristics, psychological trends, preferences, predispositions, behavior, attitudes, intelligence, abilities, and aptitudes” are also considered “personal information.”
Security
We try our best to provide you with leading security practices, such as:

- We currently store data in the AWS infrastructure and so, we inherit all the benefits of the AWS infrastructure. You can review AWS’ security policy here: https://aws.amazon.com/security/. All data transmission is via HTTPS so all data is encrypted in motion.
- Passwords – We require the user to have strong passwords – minimum of eight characters and one each of lowercase, uppercase and digits.
- We do a 2-factor confirmation using text messages to authorize the user signing up for the service.
However, no data transmission on the internet or on a network is 100% secure, so we cannot make a guarantee. Take care to manage access to the computers and devices where you are logged in to our Services.
What Data Is Sent Outside the EU and Where
We currently operate in the United States and store and transfer data outside of the EU.
Government Requests
Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this policy, we may preserve or disclose your information if we believe that it is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or legal request or to protect the safety, property, or rights of DroneInch or others. However, nothing in this policy is intended to limit any legal defenses or objections that you may have to a third party or government request to disclose your information.
Data Retention
DroneInch retains data only for so long as needed for the uses we identify above. If you wish to end your account or no longer wish to receive emails from DroneInch, you can request deletion below. Otherwise, we retain account information for active accounts.
Data Access, Correction, Deletion
You may access, correct, and/or delete your personal information to the extent provided by applicable law. To make a request, please email [email protected]. We will retain that data as needed for legal, archival, and security purposes.
Change of Control
If DroneInch is ever involved in a bankruptcy, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be sold or transferred as part of that transaction. The promises in this policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity, including your right to delete your information.
Changes and Contact Info
From time-to-time, we need to make changes to our Privacy Policy to account for new features or for other reasons. When such changes occur, we will post a notice on this webpage and within the app. If we make a change to our practices with respect to the Services, we will provide a notice through the platform or email you directly (using the email address we have on file). By continuing to visit our Sites or use our Services, you are consenting to the revised policy.
