Introduction
DroneInch provides a software platform for complete closed-loop workflow from data capture via drones to data analysis and collaboration tools on the Cloud. This is aimed at both direct customers inspecting their own enterprise assets and also, Drone Service Providers who provide flight planning, data capture and, in some cases, data analysis services to their customers.
The DroneInch platform consists of the following components:-
- DroneInch mobile app – A flight planning mobile app that is used by a remote expert to schedule mission objectives (‘6 am survey of the strawberry farm every Tue, Thu & Sun during seeding season to look for diseased patches’). The app used by an operator at site, autonomously flies the mission by connecting to the drone controller.
- DroneInch Cloud – Centralized cloud data & analytics repository to visualize data (photos, videos, sensor readings).
The key feature benefits of the platform are:-
- Remote and compliant flight planning – Drone operators can conveniently initiate flights anywhere on the globe with one click. Through its built-in partner network, the system automatically checks for safety, weather and compliance requirements for worry-free operation. Furthermore, its collision-protection sensors and unique terrain-hugging functionality eliminates crashes.
- Carrier-class operations – Customers can manage thousands of flights across multiple accounts on a single platform. The software enables multiple levels of authorizations, account level costing and easy assignment of roles and responsibilities. Data collected is remotely accessible via one-touch uploads to the cloud-based data analysis and collaboration platform. This data transfer can take place in real-time immediately after the mission or asynchronously typically run after the missions have been completed for the day.
- Multi-stakeholder workflows – The software delivers end-to-end workflows on a single platform. With a SaaS-based approach, DroneInch is the only system that enables users in different locations to retrieve, share and discuss drone-collected data. The software enables users to perform time-based comparisons across missions. Users can annotate images with important information or actions. The software also notifies users of updates or when actions are required.
- Effortless Autonomous Flights – Operators can remotely schedule repeatable autonomous flights from anywhere in the world via mobile device. The simple user interface will automatically determine flight pattern, height, camera angle and focus for optimal data collection results. This eliminates human and environmental errors and accelerates the drone missions. Users can easily select industry-specific flight patterns based on their business.
- High Quality, Rich Data – The high-powered cameras can retrieve aerial images that can be zoomed in for closer inspection. In addition, it provides moisture map images to detect soil moisture and detect dry spots that need attention, saving customers additional expense.
- Flexible Pricing Models – Users have the option to pay per mission or by subscription. Customers on subscription pay one low monthly fee and have the flexibility to run unlimited missions. DroneInch provides the same results as expensive competitive offerings.
