Srivatsan’s Story
Srivatsan Desikan is the founder and CEO of DroneInch. He has taken DroneInch from idea to product to launch to early customer engagements. He has founded six startups to-date (1 in-progress, 2 failed and 3 succeeded)
Prior to DroneInch, Srivatsan incubated and led CloudMultiply, the Industry’s first IT-as-a-Service-Broker solution that was rated by CRN as 13th in 2014’s hottest Cloud technology vendor list. He also founded Cisco’s Service Provider Cloud Smart Solutions business ($400M+) that enabled Service Providers worldwide build and offer IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud services using Cisco products and technology. He founded and ran a successful services company, providing IT services to a number of large and small companies such as Farmers Insurance, Merrill Lynch, CalPERS, Pfizer, 3M and more across various industries. With 24 years in the technology industry, his experience spans Sales, Business Development, Leadership, Marketing, Engineering and Entrepreneurship. Srivatsan is a regular speaker in a number of industry conferences such as Cisco Live, Openstack, InterDrone, AWS.
Srivatsan is shaping US drone policy by working in leading industry standard bodies. He is a voting member/Producer in ASTM F38 Committee for Unmanned Aircraft Systems and a Working Group Member in NASA-VFS Transformative Vertical Flight (TVF) for passenger drones.
Srivatsan holds a Bachelor Degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, India and an MBA from the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and has multiple pending patents to his credit.
